Start Your South Africa Adventure Tour in Cape Town
Our adventure tour starts in Amsterdam where we will have some time to rest, stretch our legs before we continue to make our connecting flight for Cape Town. After arriving in Cape Town, we meet our guide and board the motor coach for our adventure tour through the Table Mountain (weather permitting). Next, we visit The Castle, South Africa’s oldest building, and the Company Gardens. We then enjoy a scenic tour past the Parliament Buildings, viewing City Hall and Slave lodge, the historical Malay Quarter and the colorful Bo-Kaap. Afterwards, we check into our hotel where we will stay for the next three nights.
After breakfast, we begin our adventure tour along the spectacular coastline of the Cape Town Peninsula as we drive through charming historical villages. We visit the mythical meeting place of the great two oceans. The highlights of this day include: Houtbay – boat cruise, Clifton on Camps Bay and Chapmans Peak. We also see the Cape of Good Hope nature Reserve. Lunch is included today at Two Oceans. We continue to Cape point, Boulders Beach & Penguin Colony, Simons Town, and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
The next day we drive towards the Winelands. Nestled between the towering mountains in the stunning Cape Winelands, lies the magnificent Franshoek Valley. This is the food and wine heartland of the country. In the village we will find wonderful crafts, art and antique shops and galleries. Lunch and wine tasting at Wine Estate is included. Afterwards, our adventure tour continues at the Historical Stellenbosch, with its Cape Dutch architecture is the heart of the beautiful Winelands, surrounded by stunning Wine Estate.
Embark on an African Safari
After breakfast, we transfer to the Airport for our flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Int’l. Airport. Upon arrival, we drive to the Private Game Lodge for two nights’ stay. The following morning, we begin our adventure tour safari in a 4X4 Jeep in the Game reserve. We keep our eyes open for buffalo, lions, leopards, rhinos and elephants.We have lunch included at the Lodge. Afterwards, we enjoy more opportunities to spot herds in our 4X4 Jeep in the Game Reserve. Weather permitting, we enjoy a special boma dinner tonight at the Lodge. Boma, meaning “Kraal” in Swahili, is an enclosure, typically consisting of latte sticks, for camps and fortified villages in the 18th and 19th century at a time when tribal wars and colonial conquests were normal. During this unique adventure tour experience, you will be presented with a four-course dinner, cooked on the open fires.
Travel to Acornhoek for Mission Work
Following breakfast, we depart the Lodge and drive through the Kruger National Park on our way to Acornhoek to meet with the church we support. In the afternoon, we will check into Timbavati Safari Lodge for a two night stay. The next two days, we work with the Mission Team and church to give our support.
Before leaving Acornhoek, we visit the Blyde Canyon and the famous gold miner’s town Pilgrims Rest. We will have lunch en route (not included) to the airport for our return flight back to the U.S.A.
