Journey through the Holy Land on an unforgettable adventure filled with biblical history, stunning scenery, and spiritual meaning. Start your tour in Netanya, where you’ll relax at a seaside hotel and prepare for the days ahead. Explore Caesarea’s ancient Roman port, Mt. Carmel’s views, Megiddo’s battleground, and Nazareth, where Jesus grew up.

Next, travel north to the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus performed many miracles. Discover the beauty of the Golan Heights and visit Caesarea Philippi and Dan—rich with biblical history. Take part in a baptism in the Jordan River. Explore the ruins of Magdala and enjoy a peaceful boat ride across the Sea of Galilee.

Then, head south through Hippos and Jericho toward the Dead Sea. Float in its salty waters and stop at Masada’s fortress and the Qumran caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.

In Jerusalem, walk where Jesus walked—from the Mount of Olives and Garden of Gethsemane to Bethlehem. Visit Shiloh’s sacred site, the Yad Vashem memorial, and the City of David’s excavations. End your journey at the Western Wall and Garden Tomb, sharing a final meal with hearts full of faith and unforgettable memories.

Day 1: Depart U.S.A.

Tour members meet for our evening flight. After dinner is served, sit back and relax, enjoying the on-board entertainment as you prepare for this exciting adventure of a lifetime.

Day 2: Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Netanya

Day 3: Caesarea, Carmel, Megiddo, Precipice of Nazareth, Tiberias

After an abundant breakfast buffet, we journey north along the coast to Caesarea, built 2000 years ago by King Herod. We walk through the ancient theater, the Crusader city and see the fantastic aqueduct that served as a backdrop for the book of Acts. From here we depart to Mt. Carmel (1 Kings 18), site of Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal. Then we proceed to Megiddo (Armageddon; 1 Kings 9:15; Rev. 16:16). Across the Jezreel Valley is the precipice of Nazareth (Luke 1 and 4). We end our day here as we are introduced to the life and ministry of Jesus in this area. Driving through modern-day Cana (John 2), we finally arrive at the outskirts of Tiberias (John 6:23). We arrive at our “kibbutz-hotel” located right on the Sea of Galilee shoreline. After dinner, we enjoy gathering together for a time of fellowship and worship.

Day 4: Kaztrin, Ben Tal, Caesarea Philippi, Dan, “Hill 713,”, Tiberias

We begin our day with an earlier start as we drive north and east, ascending the plateau of the Golan Heights. Our first stop is the site of Qatzrin, a partially reconstructed Talmudic village. We see what a typical village looked like during the days of Jesus. Sitting in a reconstructed stone house, we’ll read from Mark 2 about the lame man being lowered down to Jesus through the roof. Driving along the northern border, we will stop and look into southern Syria from Ben Tal. Here we will learn about the modern wars of Israel, primarily the 1967 and 1973 wars with Syria. Next, we drive past Mt. Hermon (Psalm 133) and descend the Golan Heights and visit Caesarea Philippi. It was here where Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” (Matt. 16). Nearby is the amazing nature preserve and archaeological site of Dan. This is one of the sources of the Jordan River. We walk through this quiet national park impressive Old Testament city and hear the stories of disobedience that took place here (Judges 18, 1 Kings 12). We end the day with a unique stop (and short hike) to “Hill 713” (“Mitzpe Ha-Yammim, or the “view of two seas.”). This is located near Mt. Merom. Weather permitting, we hope to take in the sunset from here. This is the very best view of not only the Sea of Galilee but also the entire Lower Galilee. We return to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and a free evening.

Day 5: Arbel, Yardenit, Jordan River Baptism, Magdala, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee Boat Ride

We begin the day by visiting Arbel, a mountain on the northwest corner of the Sea of Galilee. We will have the option to hike to the top of this 800-foot cliff (the bus will take others to the top from the other side). The view from the top is the best there is of the whole Sea of Galilee below! Driving south to the southern end of the Sea of Galilee, we arrive at Yardenit. You will have the opportunity to reaffirm your baptism in the waters of the Jordan River. From here we drive to back to the NW corner of the lake to Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene. Here we will see another 1st century synagogue. Jesus must have taught from here! Among the other ruins are ritual baths. After lunch we see Capernaum, the home center of ministry for Jesus here in Galilee. Here, we read about the many stories related to the ministry of Jesus in the 4th- 5th century synagogue. It was in this area where Jesus called His first disciples. We end the day with a visit to the Jesus’ Boat Museum. A 1st century wooden boat discovered in 1986 is displayed here. From here we board our own boat for an hour ride on the Sea of Galilee. We will enjoy some worship and reflection. We return to our hotel for dinner and an optional gathering once again by the water.

Day 6: Hippos, Beth Shean, Jericho, Dead Sea, Kalia Kibbutz

We begin the day by driving to the southeast corner of the Sea of Galilee to Hippos/Sussita. Located in the southern end of the Golan Heights today, this was one of the Decapolis cities mentioned in Gospels. Among the impressive Roman ruins, the panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from here will be stunning! From here, we drive south to the Jordan Valley to the site of Beth Shean (1 Sam. 31), a massive Roman city of the Decapolis. Next, we drive south alongthe Jordan Valley to Jericho. We climb the tel (ancient mound) to see portions of the fortification wall that supported the mud-brickwalls that “came tumblin’ down” (Joshua 6). From here, we drive to the Dead Sea for a unique “float.” Close by is our kibbutz-hotel at Almog where we check into our hotel, followed by dinner.

Day 7: Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran, Wilderness of Judah, Jerusalem

This morning, we begin our drive northward along the western coastline of the Dead Sea to Masada. Here, we ascend high upon the wilderness mountain by way of cable car to the fortress built by King Herod. We survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples, and palaces. An optional walk down the Snake Path will be offered. Our next stop is Ein Gedi, where David hid from King Saul, and we enjoy a walk to some of the waterfalls inthe canyon. Finally, we visit Qumran and the settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. This is where the Essenes; authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls, lived. The scrolls were first discovered in Cave 1 in 1947. En route to Jerusalem, we end the day with a brief stop at Wadi Qelt. Here, we hear the words of Isaiah 40 and Psalm 23 in the context of the Judea Desert. From here, we drive the rest of the way to Jerusalem for overnight. After checking in our hotel and dinner, an optional walk to the Western Wall will take place.

Day 8: Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Pool of Bethesda, Herodium, Bethlehem

We get our first glimpse of Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives, beholding a breath-taking panorama of the Holy City. We walk down the “Palm Sunday” route to the Garden of Gethsemane. Next, we enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate (St.Stephens) and visit the Pools of Bethesda (John 5). We also enjoy some marvelous singing in St. Anne’s church from the Crusader period. In the afternoon after lunch, we drive to Herodium, the palace fortress and burial place of Herod the Great. Nearby are the Shepherds’ Fields. We will enjoy a time of reflection and worship here. We end the day at an olive wood factory and shop in Bethlehem. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Shiloh, Israel Museum, Yad Vashem

We begin the day by driving 20 miles north of Jerusalem into Samaria to Shiloh. This was where the Tabernacle was standing for over 300 years following Joshua’s Conquest. We will see a hologram of the Mishkan (Tabernacle) before walking to the top of the site. We’ll see the continuing archaeological work taking place here over the last almost 10 years. Well consider the amazing story of Samuel and Hannah here too (1 Samuel 2-3). Next, we drive back to western Jerusalem where we will visit the Israel Museum. We see the fascinating Israel Museum and the model of Jerusalem (1:50 scale model of Herodian Jerusalem as it would have appeared in Jesus’ time). We also see some of the “highlight” artifacts in the archaeological museum. We will end the day at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Museum. We see the Children’s Memorial and walk through the museum on our own. We drive back to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and another optional walk.

Day 10: City of David, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, Southern Wall Excavations, Western Wall, Holy Sepulcher Church, Garden Tomb

We begin the day by visiting the City of David and the new excavations of David’s palace. Those who want will take an optional adventurous walk through the water of Hezekiah’s Tunnel (1,720 feet long). We then sit on the steps of the Siloam Pool and listen to the story of John 9. From here, we walk up through an exposed Herodian drainage channel that takes us to “Robinson’s Arch” and the southern wall excavations. We walk on a Roman street and ascend the Temple steps. We then visit the Western Wall, the most holy place for Jews today! We then walk into the Christian Quarter and to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Our day ends at the Garden Tomb for Communion. We return to our hotel for a Farewell Dinner. Then we transfer to the airport for our return flight home (this depends on flight times). For those doing the Egypt extension, you enjoy one more overnight in Jerusalem, then morning flight Tel Aviv to Cairo.

Day 11: Arrive Home

**Egypt Extension, Day 11: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv for Flight to Cairo, Flight to Luxor, Luxor Temple (at dusk)

We depart Jerusalem and continue to Ben Gurion Airport for our short flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, we meet our Egyptian representative and tour guide. We then change planes for a short flight to Luxor, which is often referred to as the “Heart of Egypt.” We arrive mid-afternoon and begin our sightseeing tour of classical Luxor, the East Bank, which includes the Luxor Temple. Dinner and overnight are in Luxor.

**Egypt Extension, Day 12: (Optional Sunrise Ballon Ride), Luxor/Valley of Kings, Temples of Medinet Habu & Hatshepsut, Felucca Boat Ride on Nile River, Temple of Karnak

Today begins with an optional hot-air balloon ride (weather permitting, approximate cost is $130). We will enjoy a sunrise over the Valley of the Kings. For those choosing not to do the balloon ride, following breakfast you will meet up with the group to begin our sightseeing of the West Bank of the Nile River. This will include the Valley of the Kings (you will go inside three tombs. King Tut’s room is extra), Medinet Habu Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. We will then cross back to the east side of the Nile River on a felucca boat and enjoy a late lunch (included) at the hotel. We then end the day with a visit to the massive Karnak Temple. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

**Egypt Extension, Day 13: Cairo, Memphis & Sakkara

Following a late breakfast, we drive to the Luxor Airport for our flight back to Cairo. Our sightseeing tour of Cairo includes a visit to ancient Memphis and Sakkara. Memphis was the capital of the Old Kingdom of Egypt. We see the Alabaster Sphinx and an impressive statue of Ramses II. Nearby, we’ll include a visit to the Necropolis of Sakkara, containing the funerary monuments from various periods of Egyptian history. We view the Step Pyramid of King Zoser and several mastabas (tombs of nobles), including the tombs of Ti and Ptah, some of the most notable excavations of Egypt. We then drive to our hotel near the pyramids in Giza. We will be here for the next two nights!

**Egypt Extension, Day 14: Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum

Today is our last day of the extension. First, we will visit the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. As an option, we will have the opportunity to go into the Great Pyramids (for an extra cost). We will also enjoy a panoramic view of the pyramids. We will enjoy riding on the back of a camel here (included). Next, we will visit the Great Sphinx. In the afternoon, we will spend time at the brand-new, world-famous Egyptian Museum. This new museum contains unbelievable artifacts from the past, including the treasures of King Tutankhamen. We drive back to our hotel for dinner and a free evening. You will have the option to attend an optional “sound and light” show by the Sphinx and Pyramids.
