Today, we arrive in Budapest and begin our journey. Depending on flight arrival times, we will begin with a captivating city tour. Discover the beauty of Hungary’s capital with a walking tour that includes iconic sites such as the majestic Buda Castle, the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion, and the stunning St. Stephen’s Basilica. Enjoy a leisurely lunch break at a local restaurant (not included), where you can savor traditional Hungarian cuisine. Afterward, continue exploring the city’s vibrant streets before embarking on the river ship at 3:00pm. Settle into your luxurious cabin and get ready for an unforgettable journey along the Danube.

Hajós is a wine village of the Danube Swabians. Our excursion includes a visit to the cellar village, which consists of 1000 cellars. We then walk through the old, smaller cellars, where the guests can visit some of them and taste the wine. The guests receive information about the wine production and the history of the village. On arrival, guests are given small ceramic cups used to taste the wine and they keep the ceramic cup to take home. After the walk we will go to a modern wine cellar - Kovács Pincészet. After the tour we will taste different wines and at the end there will be a wine tasting game. From Hajós we take the boat back to Kalocsa.

Experience a day full of discoveries in Belgrade. Begin with a panoramic morning tour including Kalemegdan Fortress with its splendid views over the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers, the Parliament building, and St. Mark’s Church. Continue with a walking tour to see St. Sava Church, the Royal Palace, and stroll through the charming pedestrian street lined with cafes and galleries.

Start the day with a lecture on Balkan history by our cruise director. As we enjoy lunch, we cruise through the stunning scenery of the Carpathian and Balkan mountains, highlighted by the Iron Gates gorge. This 100 km stretch of the Danube, once treacherous for ships, was made navigable by a joint Yugoslav-Romanian project completed in 1972. Sail towards Belgrade during dinner.

Today we arrive in Bucharest, often called the “Paris of Eastern Europe,” for a panoramic tour of Romania’s capital. Visit the Patriarchal Church, Royal Palace, University, and the Arc de Triomphe. Admire the colossal Parliament Palace, built during Ceausescu’s rule, the second-largest building in the world. After lunch (included), you will have free time to explore the city on your own.

Spend a serene day cruising the Danube, enjoying the ship’s luxurious amenities. Begin with a soothing spa treatment by expert therapists (not included). Sip a refreshing drink at the elegant bar, socialize with fellow travelers, or unwind. Find a cozy spot on the sundeck to read a good book while taking in the stunning river views. This leisurely day ensures you feel refreshed and ready for the next adventure.

We arrive in Golubac, Serbia, and step ashore to explore the impressive Golubac Fortress, perched majestically on the Danube’s edge. This medieval fortress, with its dramatic towers and walls, offers stunning views over the river and surrounding landscapes. Wander through its ancient passageways and learn about its fascinating history, from a strategic military stronghold to picturesque ruin. Enjoy a guided tour that brings the fortress’s storied past to life and take in the breathtaking scenery. Return to the ship for a delightful lunch and an afternoon of relaxation as we continue our journey along the Danube.

We dock in the charming town of Ilok and embark on an excursion to the vibrant city of Novi Sad. Today begins with a scenic drive through the picturesque Serbian countryside, arriving in Novi Sad, Serbia’s cultural hub. We will visit the historic Petrovaradin Fortress, known as the “Gibraltar of the Danube,” offering panoramic views of the city and river. Afterwards, explore the charming streets of the old town, including Liberty Square, the Orthodox Cathedral, and the bustling Danube Park. Enjoy some free time to savor local delicacies at a cozy café before returning to the ship for dinner and a relaxing evening onboard.

This afternoon we will arrive at the Queen of the Danube, the beautiful city of Budapest, Hungary. We’ll start off the city tour with the Millennium Monument in the Pest side Heroes’ Square (Hõsök Tere), visit Kálvin Sq with its Reformed Church and 95 commemorative tablets, in memory of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses, sparking the age of reformation. We will visit the “Váci Utca” pedestrian shopping street and the famous indoor multi-story market. We will visit the most impressive Neoclassical Synagogue, the largest in Europe, with its Weeping Willow monument to the Holocaust. At the end of the day, we’ll return to the ship for dinner. During dinner we will enjoy the real “City of Lights”’, Budapest’s magnificent lighted monuments and budlings.

The capital of Slovakia is steeped in history and culture, boasting a rich past alongside a very youthful and happening vibe, with thousands of students flocking to its universities. We’ll start the tour with a Little Train ride up to the castle, which looks like a transplant from a children’s book. We’ll continue a walking tour of the charming and compact old town, with its beautifully decorated and colorful houses, cobblestoned alleyways, and outdoor café culture. We visit sites like Michael’s Gate, built in 1300, and the Blue Church, an Art Nouveau Catholic church so called because of its façade, mosaics, and blue-glazed roof. Tonight, we will say good by to the crew and friends with a festive Farewell Dinner while our ship is smoothly entering the Capital of Austria.

Today we disembark and start our tour in the charming and aristocratic city of Vienna, nestled on the banks of the Danube. Vienna captures the hearts of visitors with its many museums, elegant streets, palaces, and concert halls. We will take a bus tour through the town center, visit Albertina Square, check out the impressive Stephansdom Cathedral, and have some free time in the beautiful pedestrian Kärntner Straße. We walk through “Hofburg”, the Royal Palace and later we will visit the Belvedere Palace and the City Park. During our tour of the Capital city, we will not forget to try the famous “Apple Strudel” cake or have a Viennese Café. We settle in our city hotel for dinner and overnight.

This morning, after breakfast, we will head to the airport for our return flight home.
