Today we arrive in Berlin. We will be met by our representative at the airport and make our way to our hotel in Berlin. On our way to the hotel, depending on arrival flight times, we may visit St. Mary’s Lutheran Church, the Martin Luther Monument, KaDeWe, where you will find just about anything you are looking for in the way of food and other items. We have dinner and overnight at our hotel.

We begin our day with a guided city tour of Berlin. We will visit the Holocaust Memorial, a place of remembrance and commemoration for the up to six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Next, we make our way through the historic Brandenburg Gate, an 18th century neoclassical monument. The Brandenburg Gate used to be memorial of division - after the construction of the Berlin Wall, it was located in the restricted area and could not be visited by East or West Germans. After the fall of the Wall, the gate became a symbol of German unity. We then visit the Reichstag dome and observatory terrace. From the roof terrace we will see spectacular views of the parliamentary and government district and Berlin’s sights. Next we make our way to the “PanoramaPunkt” in Potsdamer Plats, where the journey up is a special experience. From here, we get to view many different landmarks as well as the modern architecture and historical highlights of the city. Afterwards, we get to have fun with a Trabi Car tour of the east side of the city. We end our day visiting the east side of the Berlin wall and end at the Berlin Wall Memorial site. Afterwards, we check in to our floating hotel for the next 8 nights for a transcendent journey along the enchanting Elbe River. (Embarkation begins at 3PM).

This morning, we will have time to continue our tour in Berlin . After our tour, we’ll return on board and start cruising towards Nedlitz. You’ll discover the idyllic charm of the lakes formed by the Havel River. In the afternoon, we’ll leave for a visit to the gardens at the Sanssouci Palace. Afterwards, we’ll return to the ship and begin to cruise to Wusterwitz. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

This morning, we take an excursion and begin our day with a city tour in Magdeburg. From here, we visit the Guericke Fountain which commemorates the Magdeburg scientist, inventor, lawyer and politician Otto von Guericke. We then make our way to St. John’s church and the Statue of Martin Luther. Afterwards, we make our way down to visit the Market Square, the Golden Equestrian Statue, St. Catherine and St. Maurice. From here we visit the, “Green Citadel Magdeburg” - a Hundertwasser Building, Jahrtausendturm in Elbauenpark. We return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we take an excursion through Wittenberg. We embark on a walking tour, walking In the footsteps of Martin Luther. Afterwards, we visit the Palace Church, where Luther is buried, and we’ll see the bronze door with his 95 theses. Passing the Market square with the Luther Monument we reach the St. Marien Church with the famous altarpiece by Lukas Cranach. We can also have a look at the house of this famous entrepreneur- painter. We will visit the former monastery changed into Luther’s private home. An outstanding visual experience is the 360-degree Panorama of Wittenberg painted by Yadegar Asisi. We return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

We begin our day in Meissen, which is world famous for its porcelain. Our first stop is the Meissen Porcelain Museum. It is the only museum in the world to map the entire evolution of Meissen porcelain from the earliest beginnings in 1710 to the present day. We then embark on a walking tour of the old city followed by a visit to the Albrechtsburg Castle. Built in the 15th century, Meissen Albrechtsburg Castle is regarded to be Germany’s oldest castle. Next, we visit the Cathedrale on the citadel hill of Meissen is a pure sacred building of the Mid-Gothic, even if its steeple top is from the beginning of this century. This afternoon discover the Marvel at Dresden’s architectural wonders, from the Frauenkirche to the Zwinger Palace gardens. Wander along the Elbe Promenade and delve into history at the Museum of Military History. Dresden’s allure, much like the Elbe itself, is an exquisite blend of art, culture, and scenic beauty. We return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

We’ll leave on a tour to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. We’ll discover the Königstein Fortress, overlooking the Elbe and one of the largest hilltop fortresses in Europe. We’ll then stop at the
Bastei rock formation towering above the Elbe and formed by water erosion over one million years ago. The afternoon will be spent cruising. Enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Today’s excursion takes us to the small towns center to view the colorful old buildings and the city hall. A short ride will bring us to Klácelka, an amazing historical landmark and manmade cave. It is known for its complex of sculptural works made by sculptor Václav Levý. We end our day exploring Devil’s Head, the nearly 30-foot-tall stone heads are known locally as Certovy Hlavy or the “The Devil Heads.” Each discovery along the way carries the essence of the Elbe’s cultural tapestry. We return to our ship for dinner and overnight.

Our Cruise ship will arrive to Prague. Time permitting, we will have free time in Prague and return to our ship for our last night.

This morning we disembark and travel to the Prague airport for our flight home.
