No News is Good News – Israel Update

August 8, 2024

The phrase “No news is good news,” first recorded back in 1640 by James Howell, has long served as a reassuring adage. Recent mainstream news has highlighted various developments, but it’s important to note that, in this context, “no news” can actually be a positive sign.

Despite recent headlines about unsuccessful attacks near embassies, failed attempts to cross well-armed borders, and successful targeting of political figures on the opposing side, the situation for travelers remains stable. Our ongoing collaboration with Israeli partners continues around the clock to address concerns, manage conflicts, and handle itinerary adjustments.

Importantly, the U.S. Department of State has not increased its travel advisory for Israel since January 2024, which reinforces the stability and safety of travel. Although some airlines have suspended flights for various reasons, including political factors, major carriers such as American, United, Lufthansa, Turkish, and El-Al (Israel’s own airline) have maintained their services and currently have no plans to alter their schedules.

Our direct and frequent communication with airlines confirms that there have been no recent changes to flight schedules. Since October 7, 2023, we have successfully managed 12 groups traveling to and from the Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, without disruptions or issues. Additionally, we have several more groups still scheduled for the remainder of 2024!

The lack of alarming news regarding travel safety is actually a positive indicator. As we move forward, with additional groups scheduled for the rest of the year and into 2025, our commitment to your safety remains our highest priority. Our team has visited Israel multiple times this year and has more trips planned, underscoring our confidence in the ongoing stability of travel.
