Israel Travel Update – June 2025

June 23, 2025

As of June 12, 2025, Israel carried out strikes on multiple uranium enrichment facilities in Iran in response to ongoing concerns about Iran’s nuclear program. This event marked a significant escalation in regional tensions.

On Saturday, June 20, the United States deployed a team of bombers in coordination with Israel, targeting additional strategic sites in Iran in an effort to deter further conflict. Since then, Israel has enacted a series of precautionary security measures, and regional conditions remain fluid.

As of today, the U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisory for Israel. This means U.S. citizens are currently restricted from traveling to Israel, with exceptions only for those on diplomatic or military assignments or individuals holding dual citizenship. The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem remains closed to the public at this time. While there has been no official reopening announcement, several media outlets have speculated that the embassy may reopen as early as Wednesday, contingent on a potential downgrade to a Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” advisory.

We currently have no groups in Israel, and our most recent group returned safely last week. Several tours are scheduled for August and September, with many more throughout the remainder of 2025. In light of the Level 4 advisory, any groups scheduled to depart prior to August 31 have temporarily been placed on hold, as we await updates. We will continue to monitor guidance from the U.S. State Department and Israel’s Ministry of Tourism before making final decisions.

In an effort to streamline our communications, we’ll be working directly with tour leaders at this time. If you are a passenger with concerns, please feel free to contact our office directly at your convenience.

For tours scheduled to depart September 1, 2025, and beyond, we are proceeding with standard planning. Historically, similar situations have de-escalated in time to allow tourism to resume safely. We will remain in close contact with group leaders and provide updated itineraries or logistical adjustments as needed. If you have questions about final payments or cancellation policies, we are offering grace periods on a case-by-case basis, depending on your departure date. To confirm upcoming deadlines, please contact your group’s Operations Representative or email us at info@ittworld.com.

For travelers scheduled to depart in 2026, we remain optimistic—in consultation with our partners in Israel—that conditions will normalize well ahead of those dates. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Operations Representative or email info@ittworld.com. We are happy to speak with you individually and review your options.

At this time, we do not recommend making changes to trips scheduled more than six months in advance. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and post updates here on our News page, as well as on our social media platforms including Facebook and YouTube.

Thank you for your continued patience, and for choosing imagine as your trusted travel provider.
