We gather for our flight to Europe, beginning a journey through lands shaped by Scripture, worship, and reform. Settle in, rest, and pray for fellowship and spiritual renewal as we travel.

On arrival we meet our guide and enter Prague’s storied Old Town. As we stroll its squares and lanes, we remember Jan Hus and the early reforming spirit that prepared the way for later movements of gospel renewal. This evening we share a welcome dinner in a beautiful Art Nouveau setting and settle in for our first night in Prague.

We explore Hradčany (Prague Castle), including St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George’s Basilica, and view the Old Royal Palace, then descend the Golden Lane to Lesser Town. Along the way, we reflect on courage and conscience in the witness of the Czech Reformation. The afternoon is free to wander museums and cafés or to visit places linked to Hus and the Hussite tradition. We gather for dinner at the hotel and overnight in Prague.

We depart for Slovakia and pause in Bratislava’s charming Old Town - pastel façades, quiet courtyards, and views toward the castle. Consider the resilience of believers who kept the faith through changing empires. We continue to Budapest, where the Danube divides hills from plain. After check-in, we enjoy dinner accompanied by local music and rest in Budapest.

Today’s city tour reveals Heroes’ Square, Andrássy Avenue, the Opera, the Castle District, and the soaring Parliament. We visit the artists’ town of Szentendre and enjoy free time along its cobbled streets. After dinner at the hotel, we take a serene evening cruise on the Danube, reflecting on the river’s role in carrying the good news to many nations.

We journey to Vienna and trace its grand Ringstraße - State Opera, Hofburg, the twin Museums, Parliament, City Hall, and the National Theatre - before standing beneath the spire of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. We pause for the city’s famed Sacher Torte and glimpse the Spanish Riding School and Hundertwasser House. After dinner, you may linger in a traditional café or take a carriage ride by night. Enjoy a morning at leisure. Consider a visit to Schönbrunn Palace or one of Vienna’s superb museums. Later, we rise above the city on the Prater Ferris wheel (optional), then continue to a Heurigen village for dinner with music. As the day closes, we remember how hymnody and sacred music have shaped Protestant devotion. Overnight in Vienna.

We stop at the Seegrotte in Hinterbrühl for an underground lake boat ride - an unexpected moment of stillness - before continuing through alpine lakes and valleys to Salzburg. After check-in, enjoy free time, followed by dinner and overnight in Salzburg.

We discover Salzburg’s treasures: the Cathedral, Franciscan Church, Mozart Square, Mirabell Gardens, St. Peter’s Abbey, and filming sites from The Sound of Music. We visit Mozart’s Birth House, then ride the funicular to Hohensalzburg Fortress for sweeping views. Consider David’s words of praise as you look across this baroque city of music. Crossing into Germany, we visit King Ludwig II’s Linderhof Palace—ornate, contemplative, and set in a peaceful valley. We pause for photos of Neuschwanstein’s fairy-tale silhouette, then continue to Oberammergau, a Bavarian village woven with faith, woodcarving, and colorful Lüftlmalerei frescoes. - The experience: We take our seats for the afternoon performance, with Scripture, music, and “living pictures” that illuminate biblical scenes. After the first part, we share dinner during the intermission, then return for the moving conclusion in the evening. We transfer to Munich’s airport for our flight home, grateful for the fellowship we have shared and the truths we have rehearsed - from the courage of early reformers to the centrality of Christ’s cross and empty tomb.
