As of today, October 30, 2023, Israel continues to be at war with Hamas as they entered their third week and working at securing their boarders and as well as working towards freeing hostages taken by Hamas. The ground invasion is starting to have some success and they are beginning to apply pressure on those leaders still that still remain in Gaza. World leaders have started to call for a cease-fire, however Prime Minister Netanyahu has declared that he will not agree to a cease-fire until Israel is safe and all hostages have been freed and the full dismantling of Hamas leadership.
The Israeli military succeeded in liberating a female soldier on Monday who had been taken captive by Hamas during its October 7 attack on Israel.
We currently have groups traveling this week in Greece, Italy and Egypt and more groups scheduled to travel throughout Europe in the weeks ahead. We have had groups ask to reschedule their trips for Israel for later dates in 2024 and into 2025 as well.
Regarding the flights as mentioned previously, we have remained in direct contact with our airline partners and their representatives. In the event that anything should change, we will continue to remain in direct contact with your tour leader (group organizer) to provide them with an update. Should the flights be cancelled, we will discuss their options to move forward with future dates as many airlines are currently providing credits or refunds. Not all airlines are providing refunds, some are only providing credits/vouchers for future travel. Many of the airlines have chosen to address the ongoing crisis on a weekly basis, meaning that this information is fluid as well as limited.
