Tour members meet for our flight to Israel. After dinner is served, we sit back, relax, and enjoy the onboard entertainment as we begin this exciting adventure.

Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we proceed through customs and meet our agent, who assists us to our motor coach. Time permitting, we stop in Jaffa before continuing to our hotel in the Netanya area for dinner and overnight.

Today, we journey north along the coast to Caesarea Maritima, where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman centurion. We continue to Megiddo, an ancient city with layers of history, and Mt. Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. Time permitting, we stop for a short lunch break in a Druze Village (not included). Our journey then takes us to Nazareth, Jesus’ childhood home, and Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle. We also visit the Mt. of Precipice before arriving in Magdala to see a first-century synagogue and visit the chapel. We conclude our evening with dinner and overnight at the Magdala Hotel on the Sea of Galilee.

We begin the day with an optional hike up Mt. Arbel for a breathtaking view of Galilee and a time of worship. Those who prefer not to hike may take the bus to visit the site. Afterwards, we travel to Yardenit, the Jordan River baptismal site, where we have the opportunity to reaffirm our baptism. Next, we visit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry, followed by the Mount of Beatitudes, where He delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We then see the first-century “Jesus boat,” discovered in 1986, before taking a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, enjoying a special time of worship. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

This morning, we explore Hippos, one of the ten Decapolis cities, and recall the story of the demoniac restored by Jesus. We continue to Beit Shean, the best-preserved Decapolis city, also known as the place where Saul’s body was hung. Traveling south to Jericho, we see a portion of the actual revetment wall from the time of Joshua. Time permitting, we may even climb the Tel. We end the day floating in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Dinner and overnight in the Jericho region.

This morning, we ascend Masada via cable car to explore Herod the Great’s grand fortress, later used as a refuge by Jewish zealots. Those who wish may walk down the Snake Path, while others take the cable car. We continue to Ein Gedi, where David hid from King Saul, and take a short hike to the waterfalls. Next, we visit Qumran, the settlement of the Essenes, known for producing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Those interested may hike near some of the caves where the scrolls were discovered. We end the day overlooking the Judean Desert and Wadi Qelt, where we hear the words of Isaiah 40 and Psalm 23. Finally, we ascend to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. After dinner, we offer an optional walk to the Western Wall within the Old City.

This morning, we visit the City of David, where we view excavations of David’s palace. Those who wish may explore Hezekiah’s Shaft or take an adventurous walk-through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, which still carries water. We then sit on the steps of the Pool of Siloam and reflect on the story of the blind man healed by Jesus. From there, we walk through a newly discovered Herodian drainage tunnel leading to the Southern Steps, once used by Jesus and His disciples. We then proceed to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site, before walking along the Western Wall Tunnels beneath the Temple Mount before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

We begin with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives, then follow the traditional Palm Sunday Road to the Church of Dominus Flevit. After viewing the Golden Gate, we walk downhill to Gethsemane for a time of meditation and visit the Church of All Nations, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed before His arrest. Inside the Old City, we visit the Pools of Bethesda and St. Anne’s Church, known for its remarkable acoustics. We end this day with a special time of worship and communion at the Garden Tomb before enjoying an afternoon at leisure in Jerusalem. After dinner, we offer an optional evening walk and time of devotion.

This morning, conditions permitting, we visit the Temple Mount, the sacred area purchased by King David. This site is home to the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, significant landmarks in Islam. Next, we visit the Valley of Gehenna, historically associated with ancient offerings to false gods, followed by a visit to Solomon’s Quarry. In the afternoon, we travel to Tel Aviv, where participants have the option of a bike ride to Jaffa or free time to explore and shop. In the evening, we gather for a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant and return to Jerusalem for our final overnight.

This morning, after breakfast we check out and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight home, arriving in the U.S.A. the same day. As our unforgettable journey comes to a close, we bring with us lasting memories, a renewal of faith, and a deeper understanding of the life and ministry of our Lord.

We begin the day by driving south to the Jordan Valley and the Allenby Bridge. Here we make the crossing from Israel to Jordan. After border formalities, we meet our Jordanian guide and board our motor coach. We then travel to Mt. Nebo, where Moses stood and viewed the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 34), taking in breathtaking views across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Next, we continue to Machaerus, one of Herod the Great’s palace-fortresses and the traditional site where John the Baptist was imprisoned and beheaded (Mark 6). In the late afternoon, we travel south along the Desert Highway to Petra. Dinner and overnight are in Petra.

Today we spend the day exploring the magnificent “Rose Red City” of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Located in the ancient land of Edom, Petra is nestled within the rugged Seir Mountains, home to Jebel Haroun, traditionally recognized as the burial place of Aaron, the brother of Moses. Entering through the narrow Siq, we emerge before the breathtaking Treasury (Al-Khazneh), made famous in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Continuing through the ancient city, we see its remarkable tombs, burial chambers, and impressive first-century theater carved into the sandstone cliffs. We also visit the Royal Tombs, with the opportunity for those who wish to continue on to the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice. Later this afternoon, we depart Petra and travel south to Wadi Rum, where we enjoy an unforgettable jeep excursion through the spectacular desert landscape. Dinner and overnight are at Captain’s Camp in Wadi Rum, where we’ll conclude the evening with a devotional beneath the stars.

After a leisurely morning in Wadi Rum, we depart for Amman. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel where we’ll have time to relax, freshen up, and prepare for our journey home. This evening, we gather for a special Farewell Dinner before our final overnight in Amman.

Early this morning, we transfer to Queen Alia International Airport for our return flight to the U.S.A. As our unforgettable journey comes to a close, we return home with wonderful memories of the Old and New Testaments, a renewed faith, and a deeper understanding of the life and ministry of our Lord.
