Tour members meet for our flight to non-stop flight to Amman, Jordan. After dinner is served, it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the on-board entertainment to prepare for this exciting adventure of a lifetime.

Upon arrival at Alia Gateway Airport in Amman, our agent who assists us through customs and security will meet us. We then board our motor-coach and drive down to Petra, arriving in Petra in time for a late dinner. Overnight is in Petra. 

After a late breakfast, we begin our sightseeing of Petra, “rose red city half as old as time.” This ancient Edomite and Nabatean capital. We’ll see the spectacular “city of the dead.” With its famed gorge, ancient streets, temples, dwelling places and tombs, carved in the solid rock. Then we arrive at Al-Ji Post and continue the one-mile journey on horseback (not included), or walk, passing through the famous Siq (the natural gorge), arriving at the Treasury. In the afternoon, we visit Roman Temple Ruins of the Roman City, Nabatean Judgment Hall, Palace Tombs, famous Urn Temple, and the Roman Amphitheater. Those willing to climb may view the Monastery, Jebel Harun (mountains of Aaron), supposed to be the burial place of Aaron. Those who would like to can choose to take a horseback journey back to Al-Ji Post (not included). Dinner and overnight at Petra.

After breakfast we leave Petra and drive for Arava border for our transfer to Israel. After border formalities, we make our way to the beautiful park of Timna with it features dramatic red rock formations, ancient copper mines and the replica of the biblical tabernacle. Drive along the Arava valley to the Dead Sea for a short swim or float. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in the Dead Sea.

After breakfast, We travel North toward Masada where we ascend by cable car up to King Herod’s astonishing fortress. From here, we head to Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul. Then we drive to Qumran, the settlement of the Essenes. They were the first century sect who authored the Dead Sea Scrolls. Drive along the Jordan valley to Tel Beit Shan (I Sam. 31:10), one of the best excavated cities in all of Israel. From here we continue our way north for the Galilee. Dinner and overnight in the Galilee.

After breakfast we begin our sightseeing with a special visit to one of the most incredible recent excavations, Magdala. Magdala to visit its 1st-century synagogue and reflect on Mary Magdalene’s connection here. We will continue our day as we walk in the Steps of Jesus along the shores of the Galilee where Jesus did most of his miracles. Then we will take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Drive along the Hula valley to visit Caesarea Philippi (Matt 16:16), view Mt. Hermon (Deut. 3:8) if time permits, we can also have a short visit to Tel Dan. Afterwards we will drive along the Golan Heights and experience some surprises. We make our way to our hotel in time for dinner and overnight in the Galilee.

There is nothing like watching the sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from our hotel. After breakfast we begin our sightseeing with visits to: Capernaum (Matt. 4:13), Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 5-7), Tabgha (Feeding of 5000; Mark 6), Magdala (Matt. 15:39; Luke 8:2). We will visit to Bethsaida and the national Park of Sussita (Hippos), an ancient Roman city overlooking the Sea of Galilee with beautiful archeological ruins, we will end the day at the baptismal site of “Yardenit” on the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight are in the Galilee.

Today we leave the Galilee and make our way up to Jerusalem. We will drive through Cana (John 2), then we have a short drive to Nazareth (Luke 1 & 2). After a short visit, we make our way for Mt. Carmel, where we will have time for a short devotion. Afterwards, we drive to Tel Megiddo to overlook the Jezreel Valley. We conclude our sightseeing with a visit to Caesarea Maritima (Acts 9 & 25) before we make our way up to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight are in Jerusalem.

We begin our explorations with a drive to the beautiful Mt. Of Olives to behold the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed to the Church of Ascension, descend to Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and there visit the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed. We will enter Jerusalem through the Dung Gate and walk to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of Herod’s temple. Beyond the wall likes the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Sam. 24:18-25). On this site now stands the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in all Islam) and the Al-Aksa Mosque. From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen’s Gate, St. Anne’s Crusader Church, Pools of Bethesda, the Sister of Zion Convent (to see the Pavement where Jesus stood as he was being tried by Pilate), Ecce Homo Arch, and then follow the Via Dolorosa for a brief visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the ancient Cardo. This afternoon we will pass by Rachel’s Tomb on the outskirts of Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd’s Field. Dinner is at our hotel. After dinner, we will return to the Old City for our special visit through the Rabbi’s Tunnel. Overnight is in Jerusalem.

We begin the day with our visit to the Garden Tomb. Afterwards, we say our good-bye to Jerusalem and transfer to the Allenby Bridge. After boarder formalities we meet our Jordanian guide and begin our sightseeing with our first visit to Mt. Nebo, where we will stand where Moses stood and its breathtaking view the Promise land. From here we have a short drive to Madaba, which also houses the Madaba Map, which is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint George in Madaba, Jordan. The Madaba Map depicts part of the Middle East and contains the oldest surviving original cartographic depiction of the Holy Land and especially Jerusalem. It dates to the sixth century AD. We conclude our day as we make our way to Amman in time for our farewell dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight are in Amman.

After an early breakfast we transfer to Amman Airport for our nonstop return flight back to the U.S.A. We arrive home same day at the close of an unforgettable tour, bringing with us lasting memories of the Old and New Testament, a renewal of our faith, and a greater understanding of the life and ministry of our Lord.
