Tour members meet prior to departure. On the flight, we will enjoy dinner and the on-board entertainment as we prepare to walk where Jesus walked in a land which uniquely contrasts modern life with the ancient world.

Upon arrival, we will proceed through customs and security where we will be met and assisted by our agent. We board our motor coach for our drive to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the lowest elevation/spot on earth, roughly 1300 feet below sea level. We arrive in time for dinner and overnight

This morning we enjoy a relaxing swim/float in the Dead before breakfast. After we enjoy our relaxing morning, we will begin our sightseeing as we travel south along the western shore of the Dead Sea toward Masada where will travel by cable car up to King Herod’s astonishing fortress. After a short visit, we will begin our drive north for Ein Gedi to see the waterfalls and cave area where David hid from Saul. Afterwards, we will make our way to Qumran settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We leave the wilderness and make our way to the Galilee in time for dinner. Our stop will be at the Jordan River, Qsar El-Yahud, with optional baptisms in the Jordan River. We arrive at our hotel along the shore of the Galilee in time for dinner and overnight.

Nothing beats watching the sun rise over the Sea of Galilee! We begin the day by visiting Arbel, a mountain on the NW corner of the Sea of Galilee. The view from the top is the best there is of the whole Sea of Galilee below! We proceed with a visit to Magdala, to see perhaps the most exciting recent synagogue discovery in Israel. Then we continue to Tabgha (the traditional site of the feeding of the 5000) and the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter. We will then spend time reflecting and worshiping at the Mt. of Beatitudes. We will make our way to Capernaum (Jesus’ base for His early ministry) before boarding a replica wooden “Jesus Boat” to set sail on the Sea of Galilee. Next, we will visit Beit Shean, one of the bestpreserved Decapolis Roman cities. This is where King Saul and his sons’ bodies were hung from the city walls after being defeated by the Philistines (1 Samuel 31:10- 12). We return to our hotel in the Galilee for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we travel north for the Golan Heights and view the area from a special lookout. We travel to the eastern edge of the Golan Heights to an old military base called Mt. Bental. Here we will look into Quneitra in southern Syria and Lebanon. From here we continue our drive to Caesarea Philippi, where we will have time for devotions. Afterwards, we’ll take a short walk to Tel Dan where we will see the gate of Jeroboam. Next, we will include a visit to Gideon Springs. Dinner and overnight will be in the Galilee.

This morning we will depart the Galilee area. We have short drive as we pass-by Cana, where Jesus performed His first miracle, and make our way to Mt. Carmel (where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal - 1 Kings 18). From here we make our way to Megiddo for a short visit (1 Chronicles 7:29, Zechariah 12:11), and then continue onto Caesarea (where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion - Acts 10). We then drive and will then ascend to the majestic city of Jerusalem in time for dinner and overnight. “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem” (Psalm 122:1-2 NASB).

After breakfast, we will begin at the Western Wall to explore the Rabbi’s Tunnel. We will continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Next, we will have a special visit to stand on the original steps that Jesus climbed as he entered the Temple area: The Southern Steps. Afterwards, we will visit the Garden Tomb and spend time worshiping with a private communion service. We will spend the rest of this amazing day in the Jewish Quarter. Dinner and overnight will be in Jerusalem.

This morning we visit the Shrine of the Book Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. You will be fascinated by the 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem as it would have appeared in Jesus’ time. We make our way to view the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-31) where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle. We visit the Lithostratos at the entrance to Herod’s Antonia Fortress, where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate (Luke 23:1-11). Next, we view from the Mt. of Olives the breathtaking panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Old Palm Sunday Road to the ancient olive grove at the Garden of Gethsemane. While visiting Mount Zion, we’ll walk through some of the ancient rooms of Caiaphas the High Priest’s house beneath the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Here Jesus was held overnight before His crucifixion (Luke 22). Dinner and overnight are in Jerusalem.

After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing with a visit to the original site of the Temple of King David, now home of the Dome of the Rock. We then drive to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus (Luke 2). We will pass by Rachel’s tomb and then continue to the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2:4-7) and then onto the Shepherds’ Field (Luke 2:8-10). Then we continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial and museum. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Jerusalem.

After breakfast, we start our sightseeing with a visit to the incredible archaeological find: City of David. Afterwards, we have a short walk to Hezekiah’s Tunnel (conditions permitting). Be sure to bring a flashlight and good water shoes with you, as you will get wet walking through the tunnel (or a walk through the shaft, for those who wish not to get wet). We then drive to visit the Elah Valley, where David fought Goliath. Then we visit Herodium. Located on the edge of the Judean Desert, this is where Herod the Great was buried. This evening, we will experience a special Farewell Dinner and then drive to Ben Gurion airport for our return flight to the USA.

We arrive back in the states with lasting memories of walking where Jesus walked.
