Tour members depart today on our overnight flight to Prague, Czech Republic. Sit back and relax as we prepare ourselves for an exciting trip as we explore Europe via land and on board our beautiful River Cruise.

Morning arrival into Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Our first stop will be a day trip to the spa town of Karlovy Vary, one of the world’s most famous wellness destinations for centuries. We will stroll through the royal colonnades, with their classical and baroque architectural styles, along the main promenade and luxury hotels, experiencing the 19th-century aristocratic atmosphere. In the early 20th century, the city hosted two Zionist Congresses (1921, 1923). In the afternoon, we’ll return to Prague for hotel check-in and have dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our exploration of Prague. We’ll start at Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world, where we’ll see the Presidential Palace and St. Vitus Cathedral. From there, we’ll head to the central square to see the Old Town Hall and its famous Astronomical Clock with its mechanical figures. After lunch and hotel check-in, we will visit the Jewish Quarter, including the Spanish Synagogue and the Jewish Cemetery, where the renowned Rabbi Maharal is buried. We’ll finish the day at Wenceslas Square, home to the statue of Saint Wenceslas on horseback. In the evening, we’ll head back to the hotel, followed by a special dinner and show. After breakfast, we’ll travel to Passau, where we will embark on our Danube River cruise. On the way, we’ll stop for a tour of Český Krumlov, a charming small town in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic, famous for its medieval architecture and well-preserved old town. After a walking tour and lunch break, we will continue to meet our ship. Upon boarding, you’ll settle into your cabins and relax until dinner. Feel free to unwind in your rooms or in the lounge. We will then have a welcome reception with the crew, followed by dinner on board. The ship will sail overnight towards Ybbs an der Donau, Austria.

Enjoy breakfast onboard before exploring the famous Benedictine Abbey in Melk, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture perched above the town. After our guided tour, we’ll continue cruising through the stunning Wachau Valley, known for its scenic vineyards and charming villages. We will enjoy the views as we sail towards Vienna, where we will dock for the night.

Today, we explore Vienna, the elegant capital of Austria. Walk through the historic streets, seeing St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the famous Graben, and Kärntner Strasse, the city’s most prestigious shopping streets. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Hundertwasser House, a unique architectural gem, followed by a tour of Vienna’s Jewish Memorial. We return to the ship for dinner as we set sail for Budapest.

In the afternoon, we’ll discover Budapest, Hungary’s majestic capital. We’ll visit the largest synagogue in Europe, the Great Synagogue, and its famous “Weeping Willow” Holocaust Memorial. Later, we’ll stroll along Váci Street, Budapest’s iconic shopping and dining promenade. Dinner will be served onboard, with an overnight stay in Budapest.

Today, we continue our exploration of Budapest, starting with Heroes’ Square and the famous Millennium Monument. We’ll pass the Opera House, Parliament, and visit the “Shoes on the Danube” memorial, honoring Jewish victims of World War II. After lunch onboard, we sail toward Bratislava, enjoying the scenic beauty of the Danube River.

In Bratislava, we’ll take a local train into the historic center and discover the blend of old and new in Slovakia’s capital. Highlights include ancient castles, churches, and a walk through the city’s lively streets. After lunch, we continue our voyage towards Melk.

This morning, we dock in Melk and travel to the quaint town of Dürnstein. We’ll explore its picturesque streets, visit the ruins of a medieval castle, and admire the Baroque church tower painted in blue. Be sure to sample the region’s famous apricot jams and liquors! In the afternoon, we sail back to Passau, where we will celebrate our final evening with a special farewell dinner.

We disembark in Passau and travel by coach to Vienna. En route, we will stop in Linz, Austria’s third-largest city, known for its cultural heritage. We’ll tour the Old Town and visit the main square and Linz Cathedral before having free time for lunch. Later, we head to Vienna Airport for our return flight home.
