As of today, October 11, 2023, we have maintained contact with our Israeli representatives regarding their safety during the ongoing conflicts. We are continuing to evaluate the situation, including reaching out to all of our tour leaders with trips affected at this time. Our most important goal at this moment to ensure the safety of all of our travelers, which is why we will continue provide these updates as new information becomes available.
Currently the majority of the conflict appears to be taking place in the Gaza Strip, which is geographically located in the southwest corner of Israel. Additionally, you may have seen on the news that there were missiles fired from the Lebanon/Israel northern border, however our reports show that these never made contact with Israel and were handled promptly. Nearly all sites of tourism remain unaffected and undamaged, with a mere handful opting to close their doors due to staffing as their workers are home with their families or helping to aid in the military.
All said and done, we will continue to keep you informed as any information comes to light. At this time, we’ve contacted each group with tours directly affected, tours that are on standby, as well as many tours traveling in early 2024 to reassure them that there is no worry and travel will commence as normal. If you have any concerns or questions about your group, please feel free to reach out to your tour leader or our office and we’ll be more than happy to service you. We do not currently have all of the answers and we will continue to watch as the situation unfolds. We trust that travel will again resume to Israel as it has shown us repeatedly in the past.
