Tour Package to See Israel

Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, we begin our tour package with a drive to our first site, Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born. Here we introduce our tour theme by seeing how John “prepared the way” for Jesus and how we can “Follow the Way of Jesus.” From there we end the day in Bethlehem.  The following morning of our tour package, we visit the Shepherd’s Field and Church of the Nativity. From there we follow the ancient path Joseph and Mary took as we head north to the town of Nazareth to visit a first century Nazareth Village with detailed explanation of what life was like during the time of Jesus. We continue our drive to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle at a wedding reception. Those who would like to will have opportunity to renew their marriage vows at the ancient Wedding Chapel Church in Cana. From there we head east to the Sea of Galilee and ascend Mt. Arbel for a breathtaking view over the Sea of Galilee and an overview of the ministry of Jesus with the disciples. We will visit the new excavations of the town of Magdala, where Jesus would have passed through many times, the hometown of Mary Magdalene. Then we drive to Tiberias on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Did you know? Caesarea Philippi is where Peter made the good confession of Christ as “the Son of the living God”.

Take a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee

There is nothing like watching a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from our hotel. We begin our tour package today at the Mt. of Beatitudes to hear an unforgettable reading of the Sermon on the Mount. Afterwards, we spend some time in Capernaum, Jesus’ base for His early ministry. Then we visit an area on the shores of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus may have called his first disciples to follow Him. A short drive south along the water brings us to the Jesus Boat Museum at Ginosar and the opportunity to board a replica wooden “Jesus Boat” for our unforgettable boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Debarking from the boat, we head to Bethsaida, the hometown of Philip, Peter and Andrew, a town where Jesus performed many miracles. Then we have a walk on the famous Jesus Trail, following in the footsteps of Jesus. We end this day of our tour package with a visit to the Jordan River with an opportunity to be baptized in that special river. We begin the next day of our tour package at Mensa Christi where the risen Christ ate breakfast with his disciples for a time of reflection and worship. From there, we travel north through Upper Galilee to Tel Dan for a short hike/walk through the beautiful Tel Dan Reserve to one of the sources for the Jordan River. A short drive takes us to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made the good confession of Christ as “the Son of the living God”. We bid farewell to the Galilee region and head south to the Dead Sea area to look at the northern end of it. Afterwards, we begin our journey to the majestic city of Jerusalem.

Discover the Magnificent Jerusalem

The following morning of our tour package, we get our first view of the City of Jerusalem in the daylight from the incredible overlooks of Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives.  The next stop of our tour package is the vast Israel Museum which, among many other things, holds the Shrine of the Book Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed, and a fascinating 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem as it would have appeared in Jesus’ time. We end our day with a visit to the Tower of David Museum.  The next day of our tour package starts at the Mt. of Olives and proceeds down the ancient Palm Sunday Road to the Dominus Flevit, the church erected to commemorate where Jesus wept upon seeing Jerusalem at the beginning of that final week. From there we head to the Southern Steps of the ancient Temple, one of the few places we know with absolute certainty that was used by Jesus when He visited the Temple.  From there we head into the old city passing by the Robinson Arch to the Western Wall (of Herod’s Temple), the holiest site to the Jewish world for an opportunity to pray at this historic wall. Then we walk to the Temple Institute where we will be provided with a detailed look at the ancient Temple along with explanation on the work being done in preparations for the rebuilding of the Third Temple. We will continue to the Cardo, the ancient central street of Jerusalem for some shopping and then into the Jewish Quarter. We end this amazing Sunday in Jerusalem by visiting a Prayer Tower high above Jerusalem and then joining the King of Kings church, a local congregation of Christians and Messianic Jews to worship our Lord in the Holy City!  We begin the next day of our tour package in Jerusalem returning to the Western Wall where close by is the entrance to the Rabbinical Tunnels and some of the holiest sites to the Jews. From there we head to Mt. Zion and make our way to the Upper Room where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper. Then we follow his footsteps outside the ancient walls to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. We visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu to memorialize Peter’s denial of Christ. Then we re-enter the old city of Jerusalem through the Lion’s Gate (also called St. Stephen’s Gate) and make our way to the Pools of Bethesda. Next, we visit St. Anne’s Church and then continue to the Sisters of Zion where we see the Pavement (where Jesus stood while being tried by Pilate), Ecce Homo Arch, walking along the Via Dolorosa – ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We close this incredible day with a visit to Golgotha and the Garden Tomb for a memorable time of worship and communion.  We begin the following day of our tour package early at the Temple Mount, the 35-acre temple area purchased by King David. On this site now stands El-Aksa Mosque, and the Dome of the Rock. From there we visit the Western Wall one more time and then leave the city of Jerusalem for the last time and head north to the hill of Megiddo  for a view over the vast Jezreel Valley.  From there we drive to the beautiful seaport of Caesarea, where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion Cornelius.  We end our tour package to Israel with our flight back home.
