Day 01
Depart U.S. for Europe – Munich
Meet your fellow travelers before our late afternoon departure for Europe aboard our jumbo jet. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft according to the airlines schedule. (D) (Meals: B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner) -
Day 02
Arrive Munich, Oberammergau
This afternoon we arrive in Munich where our agent who assists us through customs and security, then transferred to our motorcoach, will meet us. We begin our sightseeing of Gothic City Hall with its famous Glockenspiel clock, the Resident, Our Lady’s Church and the Olympic Grounds. We drive until we reach the impressive Alps of Tyrol and Bavaria. We wind through the Alps and arrive in the late afternoon at our quaint village near Oberammergau with time to absorb the beautiful countryside and enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner. (B, D) -
Day 03
Oberammergau Passion Play
Today’s mighty performance of the Passion Play is the perfect beginning to our vacation. Our spirits will soar as we experience this grandest and greatest presentation of the last days of the Lord’s earthly ministry. The script, music and costumes of the play continue a 366-year-old tradition, reflecting the faith and dedication of the villagers. (B,L,D) -
Day 04
Neuschwanstein, Seefeld
This morning we leave Oberammergau for Neuschwanstein to see the famous castle built by mad King Ludwig and the basis for Walt Disney’s famous fairytale castle, visit - Weis Church, Mittenwald. Dinner and overnight in Seefeld. (B,D) -
Day 05
Seefeld, Garmisch, Pattenkirchen, Innsbruck, Seefeld
Today we drive to Garmisch and Pattenkirchen in the morning. For those who desire, they may take the cable car to the top of Zugspitze Mountain. In the afternoon, we travel to Innsbruck for brief sightseeing of famed Maria Theresia Stasse and the Emperor Maximillian's "Golden Roof." We return to Seefeld for Dinner overnight. Tyrolean evening at Seefeld or Innsbruck. (B,D) -
Day 06
Seefeld, Herrenchiemsee, Trostberg, Ruhpolding
Today we depart Seefeld for Ruhpolding. Along the way we will visit Herrenchiemsee and visit Ludwig’s Castle. We continue to Trostberg and back to Ruhpolding for dinner and overnight. (B,D) -
Day 07
Ruhpolding, Berchtesgaden
We drive to Berchtesgaden. We enjoy a boat trip on Konigssee and down in the Salt mine, then drive to Hitler’s Eagle nest. Return to Ruhpolding for dinner and overnight. (B,D) -
Day 08
Ruhpolding, Salzburg
We drive to Salzburg. We’ll see the Hohensalzburg Fortress towering over the city, the Getreidegasse pedestrian shopping street, the Royal Horse Baths, the Cathedral and lovely fountains of this "Sound of Music" city. Obernorf, the small village where Joseph Mohr composed Silent Night, Holy Night. We return to Ruhpolding for dinner and overnight. (B,D) -
Day 09
Rothenburg, Heidelberg
Today we drive to Rothenburg and tour the romantic medieval city of Heidelberg, delightfully situated on the Neckar River, where we will visit the University, the castle ruins, and the famous Stone Bridge, said by many to be Germany’s most beautiful bridge. Dinner and overnight in Heidelberg. (B,D) -
Day 10
Heidelberg, Worms, Rudesheim
This morning we depart for Worms, city of the 1521 Edict, where we will see the Splendid Luther Memorial and the Cathedral. We then drive along the banks of the beautiful Rhine past fortress remains, terraced vineyards, and riverside villages for Rudesheim for dinner and overnight. (B,D) -
Day 11
Rudesheim, Mainz
Today we tour Mainz - The Gutenberg Museum and Cathedral. Take Rudesheim Rhine Cruise to St. Goarshausen. Dinner and overnight in Rudesheim. (B,D) -
Day 12
Rudesheim, Frankfurt, U.S.
A short hour and a half drive takes us to Frankfurt International Airport for our return flight homeward. Meals and light beverages served aloft as we fly home.
