  • Day 01

    Depart north america

Tour members depart on our flight to Europe. After take-off enroute to the Holy Land, we will be served dinner. Meals will be served aloft according to airlines schedule.
  • Day 02

    Tel aviv, Joppa

After a brief touchdown in Europe, we arrive late afternoon at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. Our land agent who will help us through customs and security will meet us. We have a brief visit to Joppa, the port made famous by Jonah’s flight from God’s directive. Here, Peter saw the sheet of animals lowered from heaven as God commissioned him to carry the gospel to the first Gentile convert, Cornelius. We transfer to our hotel overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Welcome dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv or Netanya.
  • Day 03

The plains of sharon, Caesarea by the sea, Mt. carmel, Valley of jezreel, Acco

After our first Israeli buffet breakfast, we will be ready for our journey northward by motorcoach through the Sharon Plains, along the coast of "The Great Sea", to Caesarea. This ancient city was built in honor of Augustus Caesar by Herod the Great, and was the capital of the Romans in the Holy Land for nearly 500 years. The ancient theater, the Crusader city and the fantastic aqueduct serve as a back-drop for the book of Acts: Cornelius, the first Gentile convert; home of Philip the Evangelist; the many visit by the Apostle Paul, including his two-year imprisonment, and his journey to Rome. The Sharon Plain soon blends into the Coastal plain. We approach the mountains of Carmel, where Elijah engaged in the contest with the false prophets of Baal (I Kings 18:1-40). From an elevated platform, we enjoy a panoramic view of the hills of Nazareth, Mount Tabor, Mountains of Gilboa, Hill of Moriah (Gen. 12:6), the y-shaped Valley of Jezreel (Armageddon in Revelation 16:16), and the hills of Samaria to the south. All abound in Biblical narrative. Judge 7 and I Samuel 28 remind us of the historical figures who marched their armies through this area. It is not difficult to understand that according to Scripture the last battle of History will be fought in this area. Continue north for Acco (Akko, Acre), the Asherite city (Joshua 19) and later the walled Medieval city of the crusaders, where we will walk through the old streets to view this 4,000 years old sea port and Bay of Haifa. Reaching the Jordan Valley, we can see the mountains of Gilead to the east and the little villages a few miles away in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Soon we will be at the Sea of Galilee and as night approaches we will see the lights of many villages and kibbutzim in the foothills of the Golan Heights. We arrive at our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 04

Capernaum, Golan heights, Mount hermon, Caesarea philippi, Kuneitra, Tabgha, Mount of beatitudes

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. It is spectacular. You can be sure that these are the shores where Jesus walked and Peter and Andrew fished (John 4:18). This morning our group will visit Capernaum, our Lord’s home city for two years (Matthew 11:23). We are also reminded that eleven of the twelve apostles came from these shores. More recorded miracles took place here than in any other area. As we cross through Jordan Valley again, we will go from 687 feet below sea level into the Golan Heights. Since the 1967 war, this former Syrian territory is now administered for Israel and occupied by many kibbutzniks who produce rich harvest from the fertile fields. There are also many Druze villagers, which cultivate the land and orchards. We arrive at the base of Mt. Hermon and stop for refreshment by Bereikat-Ram, a small nature lake within the crater of an extinct volcano. Banias is Caesarea Philippi of the Bible, the main source of water for the Jordan River. Here Peter made his great confession (Mark 8:27), and Jesus made his great prophetic statement concerning his church to be initiated on the day of Pentecost. When we approach the area of Kunetira (Golan, a city of refuge in the Old Testament), we are only 36 miles from Damascus. We will be riding on the same road that Saul of Tarsus used when he was on his way to Damascus and came face to face with the living Christ (Acts 9:1-19). Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
  • Day 05

Sail on sea of galilee, Beit shean, Jericho, Jerusalem

We begin our never-to-be-forgotten hour sailing the Jesus boat on the Sea of Galilee. Next, crossing the headwaters of the Jordan River, where it flows out of the Sea, we travel south for Beit Shean ...eighteen layers of cities and 6,000 years of history, where Saul and his sons were nailed to the city wall. We continue along the Jordanian border to Jericho, the City of Palms (Joshua 2-6; Mark 10:46; Luke 10:30). The road from Jericho to Jerusalem is an ascent of 4,000 feet in 13 miles. We make our way to Bethany , a village on the eastern slope of the Mount of Olives where the Lord Jesus often visited Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. A village church reminds us of the raising of Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44). We arrive in time for dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
  • Day 06

    Qumran, Ein gedi, Masada, Jerusalem

Leaving Jerusalem, we descend to the Dead Sea and the Wilderness of Judea. Our first stop will be at Qumran and the possible settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Continuing south along the western shore of the Dead Sea, we stop at Ein Gedi where David hid from Saul, and everyone will have an opportunity to swim (or merely to set foot in) the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on the earth’s surface. Our next stop is Masada and ascend by cable car to the remarkable ruins of this fortress built by Herod the Great, where from 70 to 73 AD Jewish Zealots made their last stand against the Romans as recorded by the historian Josephus. We return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 07

Mt. of olives, Gethsemane, House of caiapahas, Wailing wall, Temple mount, via dolorosa

Every day is a highlight in the Bible Lands. Today we will may our way to the top of the Mt. Of Olives and look across the Kidron Valley at the old walled city of Jerusalem. Old and New Testament passages of the Scripture will leap alive. We walk down the side of the Mt. Of Olives, following the ancient path taken by Jesus during His "Palm Sunday" ride into Jerusalem. We view the city from the courtyard of the church where Jesus wept over the city, then continue our descent to the Church of All Nations at the Garden of Gethsemane. Stand among olive tress where Jesus prayed. We’ll visit the house of Caiaphas, where Jesus was condemned by the Sanhedrin and lowered into a dungeon. You’ll walk the ancient steps He followed on His way to face His Roman trial. We enter the Dung Gate, and walk through the excavations at the southern wall of the Temple Mount and proceed to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world - the Western wall of the Temple Mount. The 35-acre Temple Mount platform is entered through another gate at the top of a short incline. King David purchased this land from Arauna the Jebusite (II Samuel 24:18-25). The history of this area includes the sacrifice of Isaac, Solomon’s temple, Herod's temple, and many appearance of Jesus to this site as noted in Scripture. Passion through the "Needle Eye", we make our way to the Sisters of Zion convent to see the Pavement, the level of Jerusalem in the Days of Christ. Time permitting we will visit the pool of Bethesda, which reminds us of the wonderful healing recorded in John 5. Through the crowded streets of the Old City, we follow the "Way of Sorrows" Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for time for reflection.
  • Day 08

Old city, Upper room, Old city, Garden tomb, Shrine of the book, Bethlehem, Model city, Yad vashem

This morning we return to the Old City, through the Joppa Gate to visit the Citadel where Herod’s palace one stood, continue to the Tower of David and the traditional site of the Upper Room. Here Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper. While praying in this room, the disciples experienced Pentecost and the church was born. Passing through Zion Gate, we board our bus and drive to the Garden Tomb for communion and worship. We’ll proceed to the Shrine of the Book where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls are discussed and displayed.
  • Day 09

    Jerusalem, Europe

Day without a planned program. Time to collect your thoughts; indulge in your whims. Revisit the places of most interest. The Rockefeller and Hebrew Museums display a wealth of archaeological treasures. Return for a last look within the walls of the Old City where bargaining is a must. Afternoon transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight to Europe (if traveling on EL AL Airlines, you will have a Farewell dinner and overnight in Jerusalem and leave Israel early morning on Day 10). Dinner will be served according to flight schedules.
  • Day 10

    Arrive U.S.A.

The close of an unforgettable tour, to have walked in the footsteps of the Master and the early Christians.
