<li>Today we board our afternoon flight to Europe during which we will sit back, relax and enjoy a sumptuous meal.</li>
<li>Arrival Munich Airport. Here we will be met outside of customs area and picked up by our deluxe motorcoach and meet our escort who will accompany us throughout the tour. Not far from the Munich Airport we catch our first glimpse of the majestic Alps in the distance.  A short, scenic one and ½ hour drive brings us into the imposing mountains of the Kitzbuhel Alps.  Our home base for the next week is a charming Alpine Village in Tyrol, Austria.</li>
<li>After breakfast we enjoy an excursions to Salzburg  &#8211; the entrancing “Sound of Music,” Mozart’s home town. During a guided walking tour we will see the exquisite Domplatz, the lively Gettreidegasse shopping street, the Great Festival Hall and of course the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,  and the Abbey founded in 690 and the Hohensalzburg, Europe’s finest medieval fortress. On our journey back to our hotel we will stop at the small historic town of Rattenberg, famous for its glass-production and therefore also called the “glass town.”</li>
<li>Today is at leisure in your Alpine Village or join our optional excursion to the High Alpine Road to the glacier-clad Grossglockner pass. An exciting excursion awaits you.</li>
<li>Today we will start for our sightseeing excursion to Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Enjoy an orientation tour and some free time in the city centre with its Gothic City Hall with its famous Glockenspiel clock, the Residenz, Our Lady’s Church and the Olympic Grounds and much more.  Return in the evening to our mountain home</li>
<li>Drive over the Europa bridge and cross into Italy at the Brenner Pass; continue through mountainous South Tyrol and the majestic Dolomite Alps via Padova to Venice.  The city tour of Venice includes St. Mark’s Cathedral and Square, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Rialto Bridge.  Free time to ride in a gondola, watch Venetian glass or lace being made or to shop before returning very late to Austria.</li>
<li>A ¾ day tour into Bavaria to visit the incredible castle on Herren Island (a replica of Versailles).  Includes the boat ride to the island and a guided tour of the castle.</li>
<li>This morning we drive from our village home along the Inn Valley to Tyrol’s Capital, Innsbruck, also called “Pearl of the Alps”. During a guided walking tour, through the historic Old Town with its fabled ‘Gold Roof’ palace and impressive cathedral and many other sights. Finally we will continue tour drive which ascends into Germany to Oberammergau and one of the surrounding local villages.</li>
<li>Today we will drive to the renowned village of Oberammergau to the Festive House.  A 366 years of tradition unfold today as we thrill to this spectacular presentation of Christ’s last days and Passion.  Hundreds of area villagers reenact these sacred events with austere pageantry in roles that passed down from generation to generation within families.  The script, music and costumes of the play continue a tradition, reflecting the faith and dedication of the villagers.</li>

The tour continues with a visit to the Gutenberg Museum, where you&#8217;ll learn about how Johann Gutenberg, a native of Mainz, invented the printing press. <h4>Arrive tel  aviv, Tiberias</h4>
<p>Upon arrival at Ben Gurion  Airport in Tel Aviv we are met by our agent who assists us through customs and security.  We then motorcoach for Tiberias, where we will have dinner and overnight at our hotel right on the beautiful Sea of Galilee.</li>
<li>
<h4>Galilee, Capernaum, Mt. of beatitudes, Jordan river</h4>
<p>There is nothing quite like watching a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from your hotel room or from a boat.  Today will include many biblical sites along the shore of the Sea of Galilee and in the Upper Jordan Valley: e.g. Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum (Matt. 4:13), Mount of Beatitudes (Matt. 5)Tabgha (Feeding of 5000; Mark 6), Church of Peter of Primacy (John 21), Magdala  (Matt. 15:39; Luke 8:2);view Mt. Hermon (Deut. 3:8), Tiberias (John 6:23).  Optional:  Baptism in the River of Jordan.  Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.</li>

<h4>Tiberias, Cana, Nazareth, Megiddo, Mt. carmel, Caesarea maritima, Jerusalem</h4>
<p>Early morning start.  Today we go up to Jerusalem.  The highway we take will include many of the following biblical sites: Cana (John 2), Nazareth (Luke 1 &amp; 2) Megiddo (Armageddon; 1 Kgs. 9:15; Rev. 16:16),Caesarea (Acts 9 &amp; 25), and on to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.</li>
<li>
<h4>Jerusalem, Mt. of olives, Garden of gethsemane, Temple mount, Bethlehem</h4>
<p>We begin our explorations with a drive to the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold the breath-taking panorama of the Holy City.  Our pilgrimage will proceed to the Church of Ascension, descend to Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove, and there visit the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed.  We will enter Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, and walk to the holiest site in the whole Jewish world, the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of Herod’s temple.  Beyond the wall lies the 35 acre temple area purchased by King David (2 Sam. 24:18-25).  On this site now stands the magnificent Dome of the Rock (the third holiest shrine in all Islam) and the El-Aksa Mosque.  From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen’s Gate, St. Anne’s Crusader Church, and then onto the Pools of Bethesda.  This afternoon we will pass by Rachel’s Tomb on the outskirts of Bethlehem, and visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd’s Field.  Time permitting, we’ll view Israel’s Knesset, the huge bronze Menorah, and make a short visit to Yad Vashem Children’s Holocaust Memorial.</li>
<li>
<h4>Qumran, ein gedi, Masada, Dead sea, Jericho, Jerusalem</h4>
<p>This morning we depart Jerusalem via motorcoach and we will descend down to the Dead Sea and the wilderness of Judah.  Our first stop will be Qumran and the possible settlement of the first century sect known as the Essenes, the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  Following the road south along the western shore of the Dead Sea, we will stop at Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul, and everyone will have an opportunity to put her/his foot in the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on the earth.  Continuing south, the next stop is Masada, where we will ascend high upon the wilderness mountain by way of the cable car to the fortress built by King Herod.  Here we survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogues, temples and palaces.  From here we continue into Jericho for a short visit, (Josh. 6:2; Mark 10:46; Luke 19:1) &#8211; conditions permitting.  The road from Jericho to Jerusalem  is an ascent of 4000 feet in 13 miles.  Before returning to our hotel, we’ll visit the recently updated model of Jerusalem near  the Shrine of the Book  (a 1 to 50 scale model of Herodian Jerusalem as it would have appeared in Jesus’ time), Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.</li>

<h4>The upper room, Israel museum, Garden tomb</h4>
<p>We begin the day by driving to Ein Karem village, the birthplace of John the Baptist, to see the Church of Visitation, and then go to Mt. Zion, The Upper Room, where Jesus spent those last momentous hours with His disciples before His passion, and it was also here where the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples on Pentecost.  From there we will go to the Israel Museum, including the Bronfman Archaeological Museum and the Shrine of the Book Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed.  Late in the afternoon we will visit the Garden Tomb with an optional communion service.</li>

<h4>Tel aviv, munich, Oberammergau</h4>
<p>After breakfast at our hotel, we drive to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport for our non-stop flight to Munich.  After quick customs and passport formalities, we meet up with our driver guide who welcomes us to Germany.  The drive between Munich’s airport and the tiny village of Oberammergau is spectacular.  First there is a brief orientation tour of Munich, Bavaria’s capital, then we motorcoach southward towards the snow-capped Alps.  Our guesthouse accommodations for the next two nights are in a little village near  Oberammergau.  Dinner and overnight.</li>

<h4>OBERAMMERGAU PASSION PLAY</h4>
<p>Today we will drive to the renowned village of Oberammergau which houses the Oberammergau Festive House.  Over 366 years of tradition unfold today as we thrill to this spectacular presentation of Christ’s Last Days and Passion.  Hundreds of area villagers reenact these sacred events with austere pageantry in roles that are passed down from generation to generation within families.  There is a break in the middle of the performance that allows for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and some time for browsing through the shops that are known for their beautiful wood carvings.  We will return to our hotel that evening with dinner included.</li>

Today&#8217;s sightseeing tour will introduce you to some of these attractions, beginning with one of the sites where The Sound of Music was filmed. The real-life von Trapp family who inspired the musical lived just outside Salzburg. Continue to some of the city&#8217;s historical and architectural landmarks, including the 17th century Hellbrunn Castle Park, the impressive Mirabell Gardens, and Nonnberg Abbey, the oldest women&#8217;s religious house in the German-speaking world and the monastery featured in the Sound of Music.<br />
Finish your tour in Salzburg&#8217;s Altstadt (old town), a UNESCO World Heritage site, at busy Getreidegasse Street, one of the oldest in Salzburg. <p>The stunningly beautiful city of Prague was built on seven hills and served as a former capital of the Roman Empire. While the capitals of many other European nations were flattened or heavily damaged during World War II, Prague survived intact. Today, visitors to the City of a Hundred Spires experience a dynamic city in the midst of transition to a fully modern society while framed in the beauty of past times.<br />
This morning&#8217;s sightseeing tour showcases some of the city&#8217;s historic highlights, such as the Old Town, the Jewish ghetto, and Wenceslas Square. Continue to the impressive Prague Castle, the city&#8217;s top tourist attraction, which is really more of a district (called Hradcany) than a building. Within the castle walls are Spanish Hall, with paintings by Brueghel, Durer, Holbein, Leonardo da Vinci and Titian. St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague&#8217;s largest church, the Romanesque St. George&#8217;s Basilica, and the Golden Lane with rows of tiny houses once occupied by craftsmen, are also found at Hradcany.<br />

<p>One of Eastern Europe&#8217;s most fascinating cities, Budapest is unique in that it is a large urban center that manages to strike a true balance between nature and development. Hills, islands and parks coexist with theaters, cafes, monuments and other buildings in an eclectic array of architectural styles. Your morning sightseeing begins at the easily recognizable and colorful roof of Matyas Templom and then continues to the cone-shaped towers and terrace of Fishermen&#8217;s Bastion.<br />
You&#8217;ll have the afternoon is at leisure to explore on your own. Consider taking the funicular (Siklo) up from Clark Adam Ter near the Chain Bridge or take a horse-drawn carriage tour of Buda. You&#8217;ll also find many wonderful bathhouses, left behind by the Ottoman Turks who occupied the city for nearly 150 years, including the Gellert Baths in the historic Gellert Hotel, a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
